And Alaska. When my uncle graduated high school, he and some friends bought two cars down here, and drove them to Alaska. They were able to sell them for enough to pay for plane tickets back, and have some left over.

Did you account for the $CAD conversion?

I’ve been thinking about crossing up to BC and picking up a vehicle on the cheap. Used car prices are stupid low up there. But I don’t know if they rust in BC or not...

For new cars, yes. Don’t even get me started on used cars in the Okanagan.

Not in Kelowna (or the surrounding area). Vancouver has low prices, but rust. Kelowna prices will be fairly low with the exchange rate. Check out the classifieds on Castanet.net and see if anything tickles your fancy. Plus, I’m in Kelowna and would be more than happy to be a second pair of eyes.

Actually, $112,230 Canadian is *only* $86,115.76 US; and the 2015 Escalade ESV Platinum lists at $93,270 here.

I forgot that our dollar has been the lowest since the first term of the second Bush administration.

Hey thanks! I’m finding Canada is my last chance to find a decent Astra. I have not gotten positive feedback about the vehicle on oppo, but goddammit I’m still interested.

It’s the same with me and W210s. There should be at least one somewhere around here.

Shoot, looks nice, but I’m aiming for the 3-door XR. Holy balls that is cheap though.

Australia is worse.

Kinja'd!!!

$75k, for a fucking Pathfinder.

The Canadian and Australian dollar is basically the same exchange rate wise, it’s just that expensive in Australia.

if that’s Canadian monies its a little over 86,000, that’s not too far off a loaded ESV USD. looks like its 80 grand CAD versus 73 grand USD when you do the conversions (base price)

86 grand is large is a lot of money for a suburban+. And people complain that the Land Cruiser is too pricey...

We don’t even get the land cruiser up here. Or the Chevy SS.

It’s a speed hole. It makes the car go faster.

I was pricing out a 2016 Volt the other night. Because of no tax breaks in Alberta, it was just north of $40,000.
